TESDA accredits CCDI as a Programming center
Written by Web Team

TESDA Sorsogon released new accreditation certifying Computer Communication Development Institute, Sorsogon campus as the Assessment Center of Computer Programming in the province of Sorsogon.

The accreditation with certification number AC – PRG – 0205061113002 was confirmed by Conrado G. Bares, Regional Director of TESDA and approved by Rodolfo G. Benemerito, TESDA Sorsogon Provincial Director and was signed last January 27, 2011 with an expiration on January 27, 2013.

CCDI passed the accreditation after its programming trainers, Edward Reyes and Elvin Manuel Luces passed the accreditation as assessors of the said IT field and its first batch of examinees manifested programming excellence after 15 students out of 26 examinees passed the Certificate of Competency in Visual Programming.

Mr. Jason Olarte, TESDA Sorsogon's  focal person of assessment center accreditation has found CCDI-Sorsogon with an outstanding laboratory and physical facilities which is necessary in the conduct of the assessment for Programming NC IV.

Programming is one of the most important skills in Information Technology. This necessitates that the graduates of programming and related courses must undergo national certification exam for them to become competitive in the programming jobs in Metro Manila or abroad.

“This accreditation is a part of our serious effort of uplifting the quality of IT education of the institution to better serve the Sorsoganons. Also, through this we can also help other schools and private individuals to earn national certification without going to Manila or other centers outside Sorsogon province,” as stated by Mr. Edgar C. Balasta, branch Administrator.

Through CCDI, programmers and IT graduates can now get their programming licenses or certification. Reyes and Luces are the official assessors of the centers.
