CCDI, the only IT school in Sorsogon qualified for PESFA’s Programming NC IV

In a meeting held last July 05, 2010, TESDA announces that in the province of Sorsogon only CCDI qualifies to receive PESFA scholars in Programming NC IV being the only TVI who meet the standard required for the program.

25 slots were awarded to CCDI Sorsogon in which each grantee shall be receiving a tuition fee subsidy of 10,000.00 a semester. Students will be receiving stipend from TESDA also.

It was noted that only two did pass in an assessment conducted by TESDA for 28 IT programming trainers of Sorsogon sometimes November. Commendably, Edward Reyes and Elvin Manuel Luces, both of CCDI are the successful passers of the said assessment as Programming NC IV holders.

Just recently, CCDI has shown also a good performance in programming assessment for its graduates with   15 passers in Programming NC IV.

These results were among the basis of TESDA Provincial Office of Sorsogon headed  by Mr. Rodolfo Benemerito to have CCDI receives the award.

Other than this, 10 slots for the Hardware Servicing NC II with a training fee of P6,000 were also given to the school.
CCDI is now encouraged by TESDA to be an Assessment Center in Programming NC IV, being the only qualified school in the province. Its administrator, Edgar Balasta is authorized by the school’s chairman Felix Alfelor III  to fast track the application so that the school could provide better services to students and professionals who want to get National Certificates in Programming NC IV.

National Certificates is used as the credentials of the workers who will apply abroad and those who will work in a national company that requires a high level of skills in each respective field.
