CCDI bags 3 gold in Bicol Skills Olympics

CCDI – Sorsogon bagged 3 gold medals in the Bicol Skills Olympics held last November 16, 2012 in Daet, Camarines Norte.


Christian Barrameda, 19, topped the Network Cabling category as he finished the problem in more or less two hours. Using the ICS judging system, he excelled in points the Camarines Sur competitor from a sister school, CCDI-Naga City campus. Amazingly, both CCDI competitors received gold medal. Ranked 3rd is Northeast College of Asia (Camarines Norte).

CCDI Wildcats, BICCS Season 6 Collegiate Champion

CCDI Wildcats basketball  bagged  the championship title in BICCS Season 6 from its closest rival, The Lewis College Blazing Fox  in the Final Championship Match last October 2, 2012 in  Sorsogon Provincial Gymnasium, Sorsogon City.

“It was the best collegiate match I ever saw in the gymnasium.” According to Kgd. Lowel Ladisla, a basketball fanatic.


Mark Sabordo, this year’s MVP led the scoring with 19 points. The Wildcats point guards  Mythical Fives awardees named  Jheric  Padrique, Charles Hilario stepped up after they were upset by the TLC in the elimination match and in Game 1 of the Best of Three Championship Matches.

CCDI I.T. mentor receives coveted RI Paul Harris Fellow Recognition

An International Project Partner from RAWCS - Rotary Australia World Community Service awarded the coveted Rotary International Foundation’s PAUL HARRIS FELLOW recognition to Past President Roberto “Butch” Guides of the Rotary Club of Metro Sorsogon in keeping with the Rotary’s ideals of significant assistance in improvement of life and better understanding among peoples of the world.

Rtn. Butch Guides is a faculty member of Sorsogon State College and an advanced programming professor of Computer Communication Development Institute – Sorsogon Campus.

BCBP, private sectors spearhead Task Force for the Implementation of Anti-E-Gaming Ordinance

Sorsogon City - The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals together with the Private Schools Athletic Association and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas has spearheaded the monitoring on the re-implementation of the City Ordinance No.  009 s. 2005 re: An Ordinance Regulating the Children’s/ Student’s exposure to commercial video games, computer games, fun houses and other similar establishments within the city of Sorsogon and providing penalties for violations thereof.

Wawa Alfelor of UNEP bids farewell at 97

UNEP matriarch, Dr. Remedios Dy-Sanchez Rigoroso-Alfelor peacefully joined our Creator at the ripe age of 97 around 10:18 in the morning of May 28, 2012 at Mother Seton Hospital, Naga City.

Her demise was a great loss to the University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) and sister institutions including the Computer Communication Development Institute with seven branches.


“We lost our dear Wawa but we know that she will always be with us. Yes, our family is in deep sorrow and in grief yet we find solace in the sympathy and prayers at this difficult time of bereavement,” expressed by Atty. Remelisa Alfelor-Moraleda, UNEP President.
