Mr. Felix G. Alfelor III, CCDI President formally approved the implementation of Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) to Computer Communication Development Institute effective this year.

CAL innovative instructional strategies are now being integrated in the curriculum of ICT courses of CCDI to address the global demand for highly-skilled IT professionals here and abroad. It is also expected that CCDI shall also offer CAL online learning modules.

CAL was established in Singapore in 1986 and became a global franchise in 2006. In 2007, CAL became a distributor of Mindleaders - a world leading e-learning provider, of more than 2,000 online learning modules to Southeast Asia and the Pacific region.

India, Asia’s leading IT provider is now embracing this new instructional technology. Among the universities and colleges in the Philippines with CAL program this year are University of Iloilo, Informatics, De La Salle Dasmarinas and San Pablo Colleges.

CAL educational technology will definitely enhance the ICT programs by integrating technology into its regular course offerings of Computer Communication Development Institute towards a revolutionized education system.

CAL program is in line with the thrust of TESDA and CHED towards the development of competitive, responsive, productive and competitive ICT graduates ready for the high-tech society.
